Are You a Mac or PC?

on Sat, 05/05/2012 - 11:16am

It's Spring 2007, my PC had become a dinosaur. I needed more desk space, more floor space and if possible, less wires. As I surfed the web (yes, we were still "surfing the web" in 2007!), I ventured upon the Apple site. I thought: "Should I dare look at the shiny objects displayed on this web site? But, I'm a true & tried PC user! Well...I do love my iPod Mini...hummmm..."

Days later I was setting up my new Mac Mini! This mighty computer took up less than 7 inches on my desk!!! I added a new HD monitor -- enabling me to watch TV in the lower right-hand corner whille working late at night; and even though I had not successfully reduced the wires since I was still using my PC keyboard and external speakers, I was happy!

Several years and a couple of laptops later, I'm a Mac. Yes, it's true. Once I joined the club, I never looked back. Mac all the way, business and personal. As a tribute to my PC days, I added Windows onto the Mac Mini using Bootcamp and Parallels, but I rarely access the operating system.

Am I like many Mac users? Well, based on the recent article PC vs Mac: Profile of a User [Infographic] by Grace O’Malley for Media Tapper, I don't really fit the classic Mac user category. However, I am a veggie, read Huffington Post & love my Macs!
